Manchester United will find it difficult to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City, according to a report in England.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Foxes are reluctant to sell the England international in the 2018 summer transfer window.

The same article states that Manchester United have made Maguire their first-choice defensive target ahead of the new Premier League season.

According to the same story, Leicester do not want to lose another key player after Algerian playmaker Riyad Mahrez moved to Premier League champions Manchester City earlier this month.

The Daily Telegraph adds that the Foxes are hoping Maguire will commit to a new contract to deter Manchester United from making a big-money offer to sign the English centre-half.

Leicester are demanding £50m for Maguire as Manchester United look to test their resolve to keep the former Hull defender, according to a report.

The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League table last season after Manchester United ended up 19 points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side.

Shakhtar Donetsk sold Brazilian midfielder Fred in a £52m deal from Manchester United to improve their options in the middle of the park.

Manchester United have also snapped up Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot in a £17m deal from FC Porto before Lee Grant moved from Stoke City.
