The Red Devils have been regularly linked with a swoop to sign the Inter Milan winger over the past couple of transfer windows but a deal has failed to materialise thus far.
Manchester United were unable to agree a deal with the Serie A giants to sign the 29-year-old attacker last summer despite Jose Mourinho making Perisic a top priority.
The Inter winger was a key part of Croatia’s successful World Cup campaign as they reached their first final following a semi-final appearance back in 1998.
Perisic got on the score sheet in his country’s disappointing 4-2 loss to France in the World Cup final on Sunday evening.
However, the Croatian’s stock is high following his exceptional goal in the World Cup showpiece and overall performance in the major tournament.
Italian reporter Biasin believes Inter will find it hard to turn down Manchester United’s approach to sign Perisic in the summer transfer window.
“There is also Inter of the vice-world champions Perisic and [Marcelo] Brozovic,” Biasin wrote for Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web.
“Be aware of this: as Perisic played pretty well in Russia it is no longer: ‘Inter must sell Perisic to make capital gains but there are no offers’ (pre-June 30) but ‘Inter will not be able to resist the onslaught of the Manchester [United]’.”
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season after the Red Devils ended up 19 points adrift of champions Manchester City.
