Man United set to offer 25-year-old £150,000 a week – report
Man United want to tie Jesse Lingard down to a new contract at Old Trafford, say reports
Manchester United are set to offer Jesse Lingard a new and improved contract worth £150,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are ready to reward the England international for his recent fine form for both club and country as they look to secure his future at the club.
Lingard, 25, has been earning huge amounts of praise for his performances for both England and Manchester United in recent months following his solid displays.
The same report says that Manchester United want to offer him a new contract this summer in order to secure his future.
It is claimed in the same story that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho rates Lingard highly and is keen to tie the attacking midfielder down to a new deal.
The report comes despite the fact that Lingard only signed a new four-year contract at Manchester United worth £75,000 a week back in April.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a team capable of winning the Premier League next season.
The Red Devils finished in second place and without a trophy under Mourinho last term.
