Manchester United are interested in including Mario Mandzukic as part of a deal to sell Matteo Darmian to Juve, according to a report
Manchester United are eager to include Mario Mandzukic as part of a deal that would see Matteo Darmian move to Juventus, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are willing to allow Darmian to leave Old Trafford this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho.
The same article states that Manchester United have identified Mandzukic as a player that the Red Devils would be willing to include in a potential deal for Darmian.
According to the same story, Jose Mourinho would like to add a player of Mandzukic’s experience and quality to his Red Devils squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Daily Mirror goes on to suggest that the Serie A champions could be willing to sacrifice Mandzukic with an eye on a sensational swoop to sign Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mandzukic scored in Croatia’s penalty shootout victory over Denmark to set up a round of 16 meeting with Russia on Saturday.
Manchester United have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of Fred in a £52m deal from Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Red Devils have also added Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot to their squad in a £17m switch from FC Porto to bolster Mourinho’s options at full-back next term.
