Manchester United star Paul Pogba would prefer to move to FC Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Spain.

Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Manchester United’s record signing is keen on a move to La Liga this summer.

The same article states that Pogba would prefer to move to La Liga champions FC Barcelona ahead of Champions League winners Real Madrid in the current transfer window.

According to the same story, FC Barcelona are eager to complete a marquee signing after World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann opted to remain at Atetico Madrid this summer.

Pogba has struggled to impress on a consistent basis since his return to Manchester United from Juventus in a club record £89m deal in the 2016 summer transfer window.

The France star has won the Europa League and the League Cup since his return to Old Trafford but Jose Mourinho has been critical of the World Cup winner over the past 12 months.

Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season to secure their best finish since Sir Alex Ferguson stood down in 2013.
