Journalist rules out Man United selling 25-year-old France star
Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie rules out Manchester United selling Paul Pogba this summer
Manchester United won’t consider selling Paul Pogba for a second time, reporter Keith Downie has claimed.
The Red Devils signed Pogba in an £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
The France international has struggled to impress under Jose Mourinho since his return to Old Trafford.
Pogba has won the Europa League and the League Cup during his second stint at Manchester United under Mourinho.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a potential move to La Liga giants Real Madrid after a reported fallout with Mourinho.
The Manchester United club record signing has been touted as a potential marquee signing following Zinedine Zidane’s exit.
Sky Sports News reporter Downie believes Pogba will remain at Manchester United despite the summer transfer speculation.
“I don’t think Man United will sell him for a second time despite how underwhelming he was last season,” Downie told the Transfer Talk podcast.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season to secure their best finish since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
The Red Devils didn’t add any silverware to their haul in the 2017-18 season following a 1-0 loss to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final.
