Manchester United are facing competition from RB Leipzig in the race to sign Nottingham Forest teenager Matthew Bondswell, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Bundesliga side have joined the race to land the 16-year-old this summer as the Red Devils also look to try and sign the England youth international.
The same report says that Manchester United had opened discussions with Nottingham Forest back in May over a potential deal to sign the teenager this summer.
Now however, it is being claimed that the Red Devils are likely to face competition from the likes of RB Leizpig for the 16-year-old’s signature this summer.
Manchester United are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next term.
The Red Devils finished in second place last season and without a trophy in Mourinho’s second campaign in charge, and they will be looking to mount a serious title challenge this time around.
Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
