Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that the Red Devils have met with top officials from Lazio to discuss a potential move to bring the Serbian midfielder to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for further signings this summer and Milinkovic-Savic, 23, has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The same report says that Milinkovic-Savic has been attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus as well as the Premier League outfit.
The story claims that both Real Madrid and Manchester United held talks with Lazio chiefs on Friday to discuss potential deals for the midfielder.
However, it is also being claimed that Manchester United would have to splash a club-record transfer fee if they are to get their man.
The same report says that Lazio currently value Milinkovic-Savic at £130m and that price is non negotiable.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to build a team capable of winning the title next season.
