The Brazilian attacker’s future at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of speculation this summer because of his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte last season.
Willian has long been touted as a potential target for Manchester United, with the Red Devils having been linked with a move to try and sign the 29-year-old last summer and again in January.
However, a move has thus far failed to materialise, but that has not prevented the speculation from continuing.
There has been fresh speculation in recent days linking Willian with a move away from Chelsea FC to sign for FC Barcelona this summer.
And football consultant McGarry has admitted that the Red Devils are unlikely to want to get into a bidding war with FC Barcelona for Willian this summer.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, McGarry said: “I am not sure how much resolve Jose and Man United have to get in a bidding war [for Willian].”
Manchester United are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season.
