Nabil Fekir has dropped a hint that he could still be on his way to Liverpool FC this summer from Lyon.

The 24-year-old attacker was thought to be close to securing a move to Anfield back in June but the proposed transfer fell through amid reported concerns about a knee injury.

Fekir has been on international duty with France at this summer’s World Cup in Russia as he helped Didier Deschamps’ side to claim the title.

Despite it appearing that Fekir’s proposed move to Liverpool FC was dead in the water, there have been some suggestions in recent weeks that the Reds could yet try to reignite a deal.

Now, Fekir has appeared to hint that a transfer to Liverpool FC could still be on the cards.

After he arrived at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport to catch his flight back to France, Fekir walked past a fan who shouted “Liverpool!” at him.

But instead of ignoring the shout, Fekir turned around to nod and smile at the supporter.

Liverpool FC fans will be hoping that will be an indication about a possible move to Anfield for the talented attacker this summer.

The Reds finished fourth in the Premier League and without a trophy last season.
