The Blues squad began their preparations for the new campaign despite the uncertainty surrounding manager Antonio Conte’s situation at the club.
Conte’s side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification, although they did end the campaign with a trophy by winning the FA Cup.
Fabregas and Morata were not involved in the Spain squad for this summer’s World Cup and so have been enjoying some time away from football with their families.
And the Spanish duo were both involved as Chelsea FC underwent their first pre-season training session on Sunday.
The west London side will be hoping to break back into the top four next season at the very least after their disappointing campaign last term.
Chelsea FC players and fans will be hoping that the managerial situation will be resolved in the coming days as they look to get their preparations for the new season into full swing.
The Blues are one of the only major clubs in Europe not to have signed any new players this summer.
