Real Madrid in advanced talks to sign Chelsea FC star – report
Thibaut Courtois could be on his way to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports
Real Madrid are in advanced discussions to sign Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in Belgium.
Belgian outlet HLN, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the goalkeeper looks set to be closing in on a move to the Bernabeu this summer following the relentless speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Courtois’ situation at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of uncertainty in recent months because his current contract at the west London club is due to expire next summer.
The speculation linking Courtois with a move to Real Madrid has also been heightened by the fact that his family live in the Spanish capital.
The same report says that Real Madrid and Chelsea FC are in advanced talks over a deal for Courtois to move to the Spanish club this summer.
However, it is also claimed that Chelsea FC are not willing to let the goalkeeper leave the west London side until they have been able to bring in a suitable replacement.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC confirmed the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as the club’s new manager over the weekend following the sacking of Antonio Conte.
