Real Madrid in talks with Chelsea FC star’s agent, claims Belgian reporter
Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur explains how Real Madrid are keen on signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC
Real Madrid have been on contact with Eden Hazard’s representatives ahead of a proposed transfer away from Chelsea FC this summer, according to Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur.
Hazard’s situation at Chelsea FC has been a constant source of uncertainty this summer amid reports that he is keen on a move to Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old has long been touted as a possible target for the Spanish side but Hazard’s recent comments about his future have suggested that he is actually open to a move to the Bernabeu this summer.
Hazard has two years left to run on his current contract at Chelsea FC and the playmaker is thought to be interested in a move to Real Madrid.
Now, Belgian reporter Terreur has claimed that although Real Madrid have not yet made official contact with Chelsea FC about a possible deal, the Spanish club have been in talks with Hazard’s representatives.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Terreur said: “It is both sides. Real Madrid have also been in touch with him for the past four seasons.
“We all know how Madrid work. They constantly talk to five or 10 targets.
“They haven’t been in touch with Chelsea but they have been in talks with his representatives, or else Hazard wouldn’t have come out with that statement.”
Chelsea FC are currently preparing for life under new manager Maurizio Sarri after he was appointed as the club’s new manager over the weekend.
Sarri moved quickly to bring midfielder Jorginho with him to Stamford Bridge as the Blues made their first signing of the summer on Saturday.
