Real Madrid line up £200m bid to sign Chelsea FC star – report
Eden Hazard could be on his way to Real Madrid this summer, according to reports
Real Madrid are prepared to pay as much as £200m to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Spanish giants are determined to complete a deal to bring the 27-year-old playmaker to the Bernabeu this summer after months of speculation about his future.
Hazard’s situation at Chelsea FC has been a constant source of uncertainty since the Blues missed out on Champions League qualification for next season following their fifth placed finish in the Premier League last term.
According to the same story, Hazard will not push for a move away from Chelsea FC if the Blues try to keep him.
However, it is also claimed that Real Madrid could be willing to break the world transfer record to sign Hazard this summer after the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
Hazard helped to lead Belgium to a third placed finish in the 2018 World Cup as they sealed a 2-0 win over England in the play-off game on Saturday, with the playmaker netting the second goal.
The report comes after Hazard himself appeared to hint in an interview with the Belgian media that he could indeed be on his way out of Chelsea FC this summer.
