Real Madrid are determined to try and secure a deal to sign Thibaut Courtois from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish newspaper Marca is claiming that the Belgian shot-stopper has emerged as the La Liga side’s top target between the posts as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

Courtois’ future at Chelsea FC has been a constant source of speculation this summer as his current contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of next season.

Real Madrid are thought to be on the lookout for a new shot-stopper this summer to replace Keylor Navas between the posts at the Bernabeu.

According to the same report, the deal for Courtois to move to Real Madrid could happen sooner rather than later, with Chelsea FC valuing the shot-stopper at around €35m.

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are preparing for life under Maurizio Sarri after the Italian was confirmed as the Blues’ new manager over the weekend.

Sarri has been tasked with at least steering Chelsea FC back into the top four next season after the Blues ended up in fifth place and missed out on Champions League qualification under Antonio Conte last term.
