Tottenham Hotspur are facing competition from the likes of Fulham to sign £26m-rated Nice striker Alassane Plea, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that both of the London clubs are keen on landing the forward this summer as they look to bolster their front lines ahead of next season.
The same story says that the 25-year-old forward has already been the subject of a bid from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer but the player himself prefers a move to the Premier League.
According to the same report, Tottenham have not yet made an official move to try and sign Plea, despite being linked with a £22m bid.
The same article reports that West Ham United, Newcastle United and Everton have all made enquiries about Plea, who scored 21 goals last season.
Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mauricio Pochettino looks to try and assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Lilywhites ended up in third place in the Premier League table last season after they were beaten by Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals.
