Tottenham Hotspur are the favourites to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish this summer, according to a report in England.

The Evening Standard is reporting that Spurs are very interested in a deal to sign the England Under-21 international from the Birmingham side this summer.

The same article states that Tottenham are ready to test Villa’s desire to keep the 23-year-old with a big-money offer for the former Republic of Ireland youth international.

According to the same story, the north London side are ready to make an offer in the region of £20m for the Villa playmaker, but the Championship are hoping to secure a fee around the £30m mark.

Spurs could face competition for Grealish after Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC were also linked with a potential swoop to sign the attacking midfielder in the current transfer window.

Tottenham haven’t made a signing in the summer transfer window so far despite their bitter rivals Arsenal, Liverpool FC and Manchester United are being busy in the current market.

Spurs finished in third place in the Premier League table last term behind champions Manchester City and Manchester United but comfortably ahead of Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and Arsenal.
