Unai Emery makes decision to about 26-year-old Arsenal star – report
The Arsenal boss wants to keep Aaron Ramsey but is prepared to sell to the highest bidder if the Welshman won't sign a new deal, according to a report
Unai Emery has made the decision to give up on Aaron Ramsey if the Arsenal star reject a new contract this summer, according to a report in England.
Football.London, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Spanish head coach is losing patience with the Wales international in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Emery wants Ramsey to remain at the north London side but the Spanish head coach is unsure whether the Welsh midfielder will put pen to paper on a new deal.
The former Cardiff City star has little over 12 months to run on his current deal to open up the possibility of Ramsey leaving on a free transfer next summer.
According to the same story, Arsenal will look to sell Ramsey to the highest bidder this summer if the Welsh midfielder makes it clear that he won’t be signing a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
Ramsey has won three FA Cup titles since he opted to move to Arsenal ahead of interest from Manchester United in 2008.
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 and the Gunners missed out on a top-four place in the last two seasons.
