The Wales midfielder’s situation at The Emirates has been a source of speculation this summer as his current contract with the Gunners is due to expire at the end of next season.
Arsenal are believed to be in talks with Ramsey about extending his current deal but there has not yet been any official announcement about his future.
Chelsea FC were credited with an interest in signing Ramsey during the summer transfer window, but a move to Stamford Bridge did not materialise for the midfielder.
Now, Emery has insisted that he wants to keep Ramsey at the club but offered no update when it came to the development of talks with the Wales midfielder.
Speaking at a news conference before Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Manchester City on Sunday, Emery said of the Ramsey situation: “That’s not my work. For me it’s very important he stays with us.
“His experience here at Arsenal and the Premier League is very important and will give us all the information and performances in his quality.
“Then, the contract is for speaking with the club and the players.”
Arsenal will be aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners – who have not won the Premier League since 2004 – ended up in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
