Matteo Guendouzi looks for the positives after Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Manchester City

Matteo Guendouzi has taken to social media to reveal his disappointment at Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

The new Gunners signing was in impressive form for the north London side on his Premier League debut but was still unable to prevent Unai Emery’s side from slipping to a defeat by the defending champions.

The 19-year-old played the full 90 minutes for the Gunners as goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva wrapped up the three points for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Arsenal must now dust themselves down as they prepare for their crunch clash against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening in the Premier League.

And summer signing Guendouzi has issued a rallying cry ahead of their trip across London this weekend.

Guendouzi posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Disappointing result against Manchester City.

“We have to be strong and continue the work 🔴 It’s the beginning of the adventure 💪🏽 Thanks for your support ❣️ #COYG #StayFocus #KeepYourHeadUp #WeAreTheArsenal.”

Chelsea FC warmed up for their clash against Arsenal with an impressive 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town in Maurizio Sarri’s first game in charge last weekend.

The Blues and the Gunners are both aiming to at least be top four contenders this season after both of the London clubs missed out on Champions League qualification for this term.
