Matteo Guendouzi replies to Mesut Ozil ‘tension’ claims at Arsenal
Matteo Guendouzi rejects claims of any tensions between Mesut Ozil and Arsenal boss Unai Emery

Matteo Guendouzi has rejected claims that there are any tensions between Mesut Ozil and Arsenal boss Unai Emery.
Ozil missed Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham United at The Emirates on Saturday due to illness but there had been reports of a training ground bust-up between the German and the new Gunners boss.
However, Emery was quick to deny those reports after the game and insisted that there are no issues with the German playmaker.
Ozil will be hoping to establish himself as a regular fixture in the Arsenal team in the coming weeks and months as he looks to try and help the north London side break into the top four this term.
Guendouzi has been getting used to life at Arsenal since signing for the Gunners in the summer, and the new signing insists that there is no rift in the Arsenal camp.
Speaking in an interview with RMC, Guendouzi said: “No, there are never tensions.
“We know what we are capable of, we have a great squad, a great staff. It’s a great club, we know we can do great things this year.
“Of course we lost the first two matches but there were very positive things in those first two matches, it should be noted.
“So now we won against West Ham and maybe we showed people who didn’t believe in us that we will be there this season and you have to count on us until the end of the season.”
Arsenal’s win over West Ham United was their first of the season as they look to try and break back into the top four this term.
The north London side finished in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term under Arsene Wenger.
