Ray Parlour has admitted that he is excited about the prospect of seeing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang line up for his first full season at Arsenal.

The Gabon forward has been getting used to life at The Emirates after having moved to the north London club from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

Aubameyang made a solid start to life in his first six months at the north London club, but he will be hoping to make even more of an impact in his first full season under new manager Unai Emery.

And former Arsenal midfielder Parlour admits that he is looking forward to seeing how Aubameyang fares in his first full season in the Premier League with the Gunners.

Parlour is quoted as saying by Metro: “I’m quite excited to see Aubameyang. It’s his first full season

“He showed signs last year that he can be a real deadly striker. He can contend with players like Salah and Harry Kane for the Golden Boot.”

Arsenal are currently preparing for life under Emery after he was brought in as Arsene Wenger’s permanent successor this summer.

The Gunners will be looking to at least break back into the top four next season after they ended up in sixth place and without a trophy last term.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph under Wenger back in 2004, when Parlour was still at the club.
