Arsenal warn Aaron Ramsey to forget about £350,000-a-week contract – report
Arsenal will not hand Aaron Ramsey a lucrative contract such as Mesut Ozil's current deal, according to a report
Arsenal are not prepared to offer Aaron Ramsey a new contract to rival Mesut Ozil’s current deal, according to a report in England.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Gunners have already told the Wales international to forget about securing parity with the north London side’s top earner Ozil.
The same article states that the former Cardiff City star wants to double his current £100,000-a-week wage after the entering the final 12 months of his current deal.
According to the same story, Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been instructed that the Gunners need to reduce their current wage bill.
Ramsey has been linked with a potential move to Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC over the past few months as the Welshman continues to run down his current contract.
The Arsenal star could leave for nothing next summer unless the Gunners can reach an agreement with Ramsey.
The north London side suffered a 2-0 loss to defending Premier League champions Manchester City in their Premier League opener at The Emirates earlier this month.
The Gunners came out on the wrong end of a 3-2 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion at Amex Stadium.
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
