Arsenal are still interested in a deal to sign Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi but Unai Emery has been told that he must sell to fund a move, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mail is reporting that N’Zonzi remains the north London side’s “major” summer target but the Gunners board will only sanction a move if there are some departures at The Emirates.

The same article states that Emery is planning to spend £25m on the France international, which would see the new Arsenal boss take his spending close to £75m this simmer.

According to the same story, Aaron Ramsey could leave the Gunners to provide the Spanish head coach with the capital to invest in the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder.

Emery’s brought in Switzerland international Stephan Lichtsteiner in a free transfer from Juventus as his first acquisition as Arsene Wenger’s replacement.

Arsenal snapped up Bayer Leverkusen and Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the current transfer window to provide competition for Petr Cech and David Ospina.

The north London outfit improved their defence with Borussia Dortmund centre-half Sokratis Papastathopoulos to bolster Arsene Wenger’s back four.

World Cup star Lucas Torreira was the fourth player to move to the Gunners in a big money deal this summer.

Emery landed his fifth player in the shape of French teenager Matteo Guendouzi to plan for the future.
