Maurizio Sarri told Chelsea FC star is very influential
Spurs legend Garth Crooks lavishes praise Marcos Alonso's influence on the Chelsea FC team

Garth Crooks has praised Marcos Alonso’s ability to positively impact Chelsea FC’s games.
The Blues defender has made a promising start to the new Premier League campaign despite a change of management.
Alonso netted eight times in 46 games in all competitions in the 2017-18 season to produce his most prolific campaign in his career to date.
Speculation this summer suggested that Alonso could be on his way out at Stamford Bridge amid interest from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
However, new Chelsea FC manager Maurizio Sarri retained his services and Alonso has made a bright start to the campaign.
Alonso scored an 81st minute winner in Chelsea FC’s 3-2 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge last week.
The Spanish full-back provided an assist in the west London side’s 2-1 win at Newcastle United on Sunday.
Former Spurs forward Crooks believes Chelsea FC star Alonso is a very influential player for the west London side.
“When Marcos Alonso takes to the field he almost always affects the game,” Crooks told BBC Sport. “If he’s not scoring goals then he’s making them.”
Chelsea FC haven’t won the Premier League title since 2016-17 when Antonio Conte masterminded a 30-win season.
The Blues signed Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa, Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic, Rob Green and Napoli midfielder Jorginho in the summer transfer window following Sarri’s appointment.
