The Belgian playmaker’s future has been a constant source of speculation this summer and he has been continuously linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after Chelsea FC missed out on Champions League qualification.
The 27-year-old currently has two years left on his contract with the Blues and earlier this summer, his comments indicated that he was considering a move away from the west London club.
Hazard scored the decisive penalty kick for Chelsea FC as they beat Lyon at Stamford Bridge in their final pre-season friendly on Tuesday night after a goalless draw.
And although it would seem that Hazard is set to stay at the west London club for another year, Terreur believes that FC Barcelona could once again come calling next summer.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Terreur said: “Maybe Barcelona, who were also interested in him, might come in next summer too.
“The director of football did some phone calls to Hazard and his people too. They couldn’t afford a deal this summer.”
Chelsea FC are thought to still be on the lookout for some new signings before Thursday’s deadline for Premier League incomings.
The Blues finished fifth in the Premier League in Antonio Conte’s final campaign in charge last season.
