Paris Saint-Germain are still keen on a deal to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea FC this summer despite the Blues trying to tie him down to a new contract, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the French giants are keen to seal a deal to bring Kante to Parc des Princes this summer, but Chelsea FC are aiming to make the midfielder their top earner with a mammoth new contract.

The same story says that Kante is on course to become the best-paid player at Stamford Bridge and his new contract could earn him a staggering £290,000 a week, with the Blues set to offer him terms on a new five-year deal.

However, PSG are reportedly not willing to give up in their pursuit of the France international and they will push to try and bring him to Ligue 1 before the transfer deadline later this month.

Kante has earned plenty of new admirers since breaking into the Leicester City team and helping them to win the title in 2015-16.

He then moved to Chelsea FC and won both the Premier League and FA Cup, before helping France seal World Cup glory in Russia this summer.
