The Brazilian attacker’s future has been a constant source of speculation this summer after his lack of playing time under Antonio Conte last term.
Willian was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer but he has since returned to the club to begin pre-season training and seems ready to fight for a spot in the team under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea FC will be aiming to at least break back into the top four next season after they finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup under Conte last term.
And the Brazilian is clearly looking forward to getting the chance to prove himself under the new man in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Willian said: “He [Sarri] is a great manager, an intelligent manager who works a lot. He is trying to improve us.
“Of course it is just the start, we are right at the beginning, but we can improve a lot and do good things this season.”
Chelsea FC will kick off their Premier League campaign when they take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues have won the Premier League title in two of the last four years but they struggled to produce consistent form in the top flight last term under Conte as they missed out on Champions League qualification.
