Sky Sports News reporter: Chelsea FC, Spurs interested in 22-year-old
Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a deal to sign Anthony Martial this summer, according to a report
Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in a deal to sign Anthony Martial, reporter Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.
Martial’s future is in doubt at Old Trafford following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Louis van Gaal’s replacement back in 2016.
The former Lyon star hasn’t been able to hold down a regular spot in the Manchester United team over the past two Premier League campaigns.
Martial has been the subject of criticism from his manager for his inconsistent performances on the pitch to fuel speculation about his future.
Chelsea FC and Tottenham have been mooted with an interest in signing the French striker in the summer transfer window to add some pace to their team.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs on Martial ahead of transfer deadline day.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Chelsea FC and Tottenham are monitoring Martial in the 2018 summer transfer window.
“We are told Chelsea and Spurs are interested in Martial. There is also interest from Bayern and Dortmund,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
Manchester United will start the new Premier League campaign with a clash against Leicester City.
The Red Devils won the Europa League and the League Cup in Mourinho’s first season in charge at Old Trafford.
