Gary Neville has backed Tottenham Hotspur to finish in fourth place ahead of Chelsea FC this season.

The Blues have made a strong start to the Premier League season under Italian head coach Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea FC were 3-0 winners against Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium in the opening weekend.

Sarri’s men eased to a 3-2 victory over derby rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Tottenham were 2-1 winners against Newcastle United at St James’ Park in their season opener.

Harry Kane ended his August goal drought in Tottenham’s 3-1 win against Fulham at Wembley on Saturday.

Spurs have finished in the Premier League’s top four in the last three seasons under Mauricio Pochettino.

Former Manchester United defender Neville believes Spurs will pip Chelsea FC to the final Champions League spot.

“Tottenham have, over a period of years, been consistent and have still retained all of their best players for us to show a level of belief in them that they will finish in the top four again,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“They have won our trust and performed season in and season out. It’s been a brilliant performance by Mauricio Pochettino there with no budget.”

Spurs will take on Manchester United, Watford, Brighton and Liverpool FC in their next four Premier League games.

Chelsea FC, meanwhile, will take on Cardiff, Bourmemouth, Chelsea FC and West Ham over the next four weeks.
