ESPN is reporting that the Blues are ready to make Kepa the most expensive goalkeeper in the world ahead of Liverpool FC signing Alisson Becker to replace Thibaut Courtois.
The same article states that the Blues would prefer to sign Kepa to replace Courtois as the Belgium international looks to force through a move to Champions League holders Real Madrid.
Chelsea FC have also been linked with Atletico Madrid shot stopper Jan Oblak, Everton’s England number one Jordan Pickford, Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel and Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
According to the same story, the Blues are ready to smash their club record to sign Kepa and finally put to bed the uncertainty surrounding the goalkeeper position under new Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri.
Liverpool FC spent a world record fee on former Chelsea FC target Alisson Becker last month after the Brazil international sealed a £67m switch to Anfield.
Chelsea FC have signed Napoli midfielder Jorginho and veteran England goalkeeper Rob Green in the summer transfer window so far.
