Thibaut Courtois has warned Chelsea FC that he will refuse to sign a new deal and leave for nothing next summer if the Blues block his move to Real Madrid.

The Sun is reporting that Courtois has made it clear that he plans to leave Chelsea FC in the current transfer market.

The same article states that the Belgian has warned Chelsea FC that he will leave for nothing next summer should the Blues try to block his move.

According to the same story, the west London side are reluctant to pay over the odds for Jack Butland or Kasper Schmeichel to replace Courtois.

Chelsea FC are facing a battle to keep the Belgian shot stopper at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Blues have attempted to negotiate a new deal with Courtois but the 27-year-old has proven hesitant to put pen to paper.

As things stand, Courtois would be available to sign on a free transfer next summer unless the Belgian shot stopper is sold in a cut-price deal.

Real Madrid are reported to be keen to sign the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper in a £31m deal in the summer transfer window.

Courtois would be a long-term replacement for Costa Rica international Keylor Navas after being regularly linked with a move to los Blancos.
