Gary Neville makes exciting Liverpool FC prediction about Virgil van Dijk
The Manchester United legend believes Liverpool FC star Virgil van Dijk could become one of the world's best defenders

Gary Neville believes Liverpool FC star Virgil van Dijk has the talent to blossom into one of the world’s best centre-halves.
The Merseyside outfit were 2-0 winners against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night thanks to goals from James Milner and Sadio Mane.
Van Dijk had a testing evening up against former Liverpool FC striker Christian Benteke and Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
The Netherlands international produced an assured performance to keep the Belgium striker under wraps throughout the Selhurst Park clash.
Liverpool FC have kept successive clean sheets to make a positive start to the Premier League season.
Van Dijk moved to Liverpool FC in a club record £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window to become the world’s most expensive defender.
Neville rated Real Madrid duo Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane as the world’s best centre-halves following their 3-1 triumph over Van Dijk and Liverpool FC in last season’s Champions League final.
The former Manchester United defender Neville admitted that Van Dijk is on his way to becoming one of the world’s best defenders.
“He is like a monster,” Neville told Sky Sports. “He did something in the lead up to the red card that the best Man United centre-halves did constantly.
“He is a big force. He looks like the making of a top centre half to compete with Ramos and Varane.”
Liverpool FC are in second place in the Premier League table and behind defending champions Manchester City on goal difference after two fixtures.
