The Brazilian goalkeeper is currently getting used to life at Anfield after having signed for the Reds from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Alisson kept his third clean sheet in a row on Saturday as he helped Liverpool FC to claim a 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield as Liverpool FC moved top of the Premier League table.
The goalkeeper was brought in last month as the Reds searched for a new shot-stopper following Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare against Real Madrid.
And Klopp has admitted that he has been delighted by Alisson’s start to the new campaign under the German manager.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday night, Klopp said: “We did it [the Alisson deal] because we were convinced.
“We didn’t make the price, we have said that before. We only wanted the player and the owners gave us the opportunity to do it, so cool. It’s all good.”
He added: “Obviously he has a nice level of confidence as well and he used it in this situation, so it’s all good. I liked the save after the header more than the chip, but it was the right thing to do in the situation as well. I am fine.”
Liverpool FC will now switch their attentions towards preparing for their clash against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime before the international break.
The Reds are aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season as they look to try and win their first trophy under Klopp since his appointment in 2015.
