Michael Owen believes Liverpool FC will notch up successive Premier League victories when the Reds take on Crystal Palace on Monday night.

The Merseyside outfit were one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window following the addition of four new players.

Liverpool FC bolstered their midfield options with the addition of Naby Keita and Fabinho before Xherdan Shaqiri arrived to add more variety to their attack.

Brazil number one Alisson Becker was the fourth signing of the summer after Liverpool FC signed the AS Roma goalkeeper in a huge £67m switch back in July.

Liverpool FC were 4-0 winners against West Ham United last weekend courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge to make a great start to the season.

The Reds are sitting at the top of the Premier League table after the first round of fixtures ahead of their title rivals Chelsea FC, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing the Reds to beat Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday night.

“Liverpool looked full of goals against a slightly disappointing West Ham at Anfield on Sunday, but one could argue that the most impressive result on the opening weekend was Palace’s 2-0 win at Fulham,” Merson told Sky Sports.

“The Eagles were excellent on the break at Craven Cottage, but they will need to watch Liverpool on the counter attack at Selhurst Park such is the pace and quality in Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

“It is hard to see anything other than a hugely entertaining Monday night clash with Liverpool to take the points.”

Liverpool FC are looking to win their first Premier League title following second-placed finished in 2002, 2009 and 2014.

The Reds ended up in fourth sport last term.
