Former Liverpool FC defender Nicol believes Alisson’s addition will be worth around 10 points to the Merseyside outfit.
“Liverpool have signed a genuine world class goalkeeper who is worth nine or 10 points a season,” Nicol told ESPN FC.`
The Reds were 4-0 winners against West Ham in their Premier League opener on Sunday.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
The Reds have also signed RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, AS Monaco star Fabinho and Stoke City attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.
