Daniel Sturridge is the complete centre-forward, Danny Higginbotham has told Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp.

The England international was sent out on loan to West Bromwich Albion in the second half of the 2017-18 season.

Sturridge was unable to help the Baggies avoid relegation to the Championship as the striker struggled with injury problems.

The 28-year-old has failed to hold down a regular starting spot in the Liverpool FC team since Jurgen Klopp’s appointment.

The former Chelsea FC striker has struggled with a lengthy list of injury problems since his £12m move to Liverpool FC from Chelsea FC.

The England star scored inside 21 seconds of his introduction from the bench in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win over West Ham in their Premier League opener.

Former Manchester United defender Higginbotham believes Sturridge still possesses all the attributes to become a top striker for the Reds.

“He is the complete centre forward,” Higginbotham told Sky Sports’ The Debate. “He is that good. He is a special talent.”

Liverpool FC signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the current transfer window.

The Reds added Guinea international Naby Keita in a £48m switch from RB Leipzig after the two clubs agreed a deal last summer.

Liverpool FC snapped up Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri in a £13.5m deal from Stoke City before the Reds spent £67m on Alisson Becker.
