Mark Lawrenson has praised Jurgen Klopp’s positive attitude at Liverpool FC.

The Reds appointed Klopp as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement in October 2015 following a slow start to the season.

The German head coach led the Reds to the League Cup and Europa League finals but lost to Manchester City and Sevilla.

Liverpool FC suffered a 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev back in May.

However, the Merseyside outfit have finished in the top four in their last two campaigns under the German head coach.

Liverpool FC are being talked up as potential title contenders this season, even though the Reds will have to overhaul Manchester City.

Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson believes Klopp’s positive outlook will help his Reds squad.

“What I really like about Klopp,” Lawrenson told Irish radio station Newstalk.

“If they drop points, he is of the attitude that they can’t do anything about it and they’re onto the next game. I like that.”

Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier Leage title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.

The Reds signed Naby Keita, Fabinho, Alisson Becker and Xherdan Shaqiri in the 2018 summer transfer window.
