Mark Lawrenson has described Liverpool FC signing Naby Keita as a “freak”.
The Guinea international moved to Liverpool FC from Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig in a £48m deal earlier this summer.
Liverpool FC agreed a fee for Keita in 2017 before the African star spent the 2017-18 Bundesliga campaign at RB Leipzig.
Keita has impressed in his fledging Liverpool FC career so far after started their first two Premier League games of the season.
The African star made an assist in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win against West Ham United at Anfield in their opening fixture.
The 23-year-old produced some sparkling moments in Liverpool FC’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson raved about Keita following the early start to his Liverpool FC career.
“I would never go overboard about a player but he is just a freak,” Lawrenson told Newstalk.
“The way he gets out of tight spaces, He sees a pass. He has a fantastic engine. I know it’s two games but this fella has a lot to offer.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a spot in the Champions League.
The Reds also signed AS Monaco star Fabinho, Stoke City playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri and AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker this summer.
