The Liverpool FC legend is excited about Naby Keita's potential
Jamie Carragher is backing Naby Keita to blossom into a top player at Liverpool FC.
The Reds signed Keita in a £48m deal from RB Leipzig back in July after Liverpool FC agreed a fee with the German club last summer.
The Merseyside outfit have handed the Guinea international their prestigious number eight shirt to follow in Steven Gerrard’s footsteps.

Keita impressed in the Merseyside outfit’s 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace to help Liverpool FC maintain their impressive start.
The African star was named in the Bundesliga team of the year in his first season at RB Leipzig to attract interest from the Reds.
Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher is tipping Keita to become a great player at the 18-time English champions.
“Jurgen Klopp said only Thiago at Bayern Munich was a better midfielder than Naby Keita in the Bundesliga when he made that signing – and that’s some praise,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“He has made a good start in two games and at this moment it looks like he could a top player for Liverpool.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014 under three different managers.
The Reds have finished in the top four in the last two seasons under former Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp.
