Steve McManaman has challenged Jurgen Klopp to steer Liverpool FC to his first trophy as Reds manager.

Liverpool FC have completed some swift transfer business in the summer window so far following the arrival of four new players.

The Reds signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £40m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco to improve their options in the middle of the park.

Liverpool FC have also bolstered their midfield options with the £48m addition of RB Leipzig star Naby Keita.

The 18-time English champions signed Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri from relegated Stoke City.

Liverpool FC spent a world record transfer fee on Brazil international Alisson Becker in a £67m switch from AS Roma.

Former Reds midfielder McManaman is hopeful that Liverpool FC can win their first silverware under German head coach Klopp.

“I would like them to win silverware,” McManaman told ESPN FC.

“Until they win silverware, there will be questions about Klopp due to his record at Dortmund.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.

The Reds lost 3-1 to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev to miss out on sixth European Cup.

Liverpool FC have lost to Manchester City, Sevilla and Real Madrid in the League Cup, Europa League and the Champions League finals.
