Craig Bellamy makes Liverpool FC prediction about Daniel Sturridge
The former Liverpool FC striker believes Daniel Sturridge can break into the Reds team this season
Daniel Sturridge could break into the Liverpool FC team if the England striker is fit and firing, Craig Bellamy says.
The England international is facing a tough battle to secure a starting spot in the Liverpool FC team in the 2018-19 season.
Liverpool FC trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino led the lines with great success last season.
Sturridge, meanwhile, spent the second half of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign at relegated West Bromwich Albion.
The 29-year-old scored within 20 seconds of his introduction from the bench in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win against West Ham.
Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy believes Sturridge will have a big role to play under Klopp and could even secure a first-team spot.
“A fit and firing Sturridge could break into the Liverpool team. It would be difficult to accept it,” Bellamy told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“He just has to look to be injury free. He can only threaten for a place if he is fit.”
Salah netted 42 goals in all competitions in the 2017-18 season following his £39m switch from Serie A giants AS Roma.
The Liverpool FC star scooped the PFA player of the year award thanks to heroics in front of goal.
