The 18-time English champions are looking to win their first Premier League title under German head coach Jurgen Klopp.
The Merseyside outfit have also signed AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, RB Leipzig star Naby Keita and Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
Former Chelsea FC striker Sutton believes Shaqiri is arguably Liverpool FC’s best signing of the summer.
“I like the signing of Shaqiri,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live. “He is a really talented player.
“There are questions over his attitude. But I think he is a realy talented player.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
The Reds are still waiting to win their first trophy under German head coach Klopp after his appointment in October 2015.
