Gary Lineker reacts to Mo Salah’s display in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win over West Ham
Gary Lineker has his say on Mohamed Salah's display after Liverpool FC's 4-0 win over West Ham
Gary Lineker has taken to social media to praise Mohamed Salah after the Egypt international helped to fire Liverpool FC’s to a 4-0 win over West Ham United in their opening game of the Premier League season.
The attacker was one of European football’s top performing players last season as he helped the Reds to finish in fourth place in the Premier League and reach the Champions League final.
Salah was voted as the PFA player of the year by his colleagues as he enjoyed a sparkling debut campaign on Merseyside following his move from AS Roma last summer.
The Egypt international found the net for the Reds in their 4-0 win over West Ham at Anfield on Sunday to add to two goals from Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge’s late strike.
And England legend Lineker was quick to take to social media to praise Salah after his performance against the Hammers.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: “It’s taken @MoSalah nearly 20 minutes to score his first goal. Clearly a one season wonder.”
Liverpool FC are now top of the Premier League table as they look to try and establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the title this season.
The Reds are still aiming to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
