Alisson Becker has insisted that Liverpool FC’s strong start to the new campaign at the back is due to a team effort.

The Reds have been in solid form so far this season and they notched up their third win on the bounce on Saturday when they claimed a 1-0 victory over West Ham United at Anfield.

Alisson signed for Liverpool FC from AS Roma this summer and the Brazilian goalkeeper has helped the Reds to keep three clean sheets in their first three Premier League games.

The shot-stopper has made an impressive start to his first season on Merseyside, but the Brazilian himself insists that Liverpool FC’s solid defensive displays are not purely down to him.

Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Alisson said: “Hopefully I will keep helping the team, it is a team-work. I have my contribution, but I am not the main responsibility for the clean sheets.

“If we do not concede we will be close to winning because our attack is really good. I’m very comfortable at the club in a great environment, with everybody pushing in the same direction to win.

“We’ve shown what we are capable of and hopefully we can keep on track. The Premier League is very tough and competitive.”

Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when they travel to Leicester City in the top flight, as they look to make it four wins in a row in the league.

The Reds are looking to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season after they finished in fourth place and without a trophy last term.

The Merseyside outfit are still looking to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
