Andy Robertson has admitted that Liverpool FC must improve their form despite their strong star to the Premier League season.

The Reds have won all three of their opening Premier League games this term to leave them top of the Premier League table and ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

Liverpool FC continued their 100 per cent start to the season on Saturday when they notched up a 1-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield this weekend.

The Reds will look to continue their fine start by beating Leicester City away from home next weekend in their final game before the international break.

However, Robertson feels that despite their strong results, Liverpool FC still have plenty of room for improvement ahead of the new campaign.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website after Saturday’s win, Robertson said: “If we’re being honest we probably weren’t at our best but these are the games that are so important to win, because when you’re not at your best and it’s not quite going according to plan then it’s important to go in front and obviously that’s what Mo did for us.

“Then we kept another clean sheet, which is so important. Brighton, I think they showed what a good team they are against Man United last week and they continued it.

“They came here and played football, they caused us problems, but we stood up to it and when we needed the goalkeeper he produced some really good saves.

“So we’re happy with the three points, but the performance could’ve been a lot better.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds are still aiming to win their first trophy since the German’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.

Liverpool FC reached the Champions League final last season but ended up losing to Real Madrid in the showpiece.
