Besiktas target move to sign Liverpool FC man – report
Besiktas are keen on a move to sign Loris Karius from Liverpool FC, say reports
Besiktas are keen on a move to sign Liverpool FC goalkeeper Loris Karius on loan, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Turkish side are set to try and bring the shot-stopper in as they look to bolster their options between the posts this summer.
Karius has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield after Jurgen Klopp moved to bring in new goalkeeper Alisson Becker during the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian arrived on Merseyside after Karius was widely criticised for the two high-profile errors he made in the 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final back in May.
Now, it is being claimed that Besiktas are set to bring in German goalkeeper Karius, although the same story also says that Simon Mignolet is also wanted by Italian side Napoli this summer.
The same story says that Liverpool FC will aim to keep one of Karius or Mignolet for this season, and that a transfer away for one of the shot-stoppers is likely.
Alisson, 25, played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet as Liverpool FC thrashed West Ham United 4-0 in their Premier League opener on Sunday afternoon.
