Jurgen Klopp delights in new Liverpool FC signing
Jurgen Klopp explains why he has been so happy with how Alisson has adapted to life at Liverpool FC
Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he has been thrilled with the impact Alisson Becker has had since his move to Liverpool FC this summer.
The Brazilian goalkeeper signed for the Reds from AS Roma in the summer transfer window as Klopp moved quickly to add a new shot-stopper to his squad at Anfield.
Liverpool FC have made a solid start to the new campaign and Alisson has slotted straight in as the club’s new number one goalkeeper as he looks to try and help the Reds challenge for the title this season.
Alisson has proved that he is capable of playing out from the back for the Reds and that is one attribute that Klopp has been delighted to see from the Brazilian.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference before the clash with Brighton on Saturday evening, Klopp said: “He’s a good player. A very good player.
“And really not only a goalkeeper, a player as well. That’s quite cool and gives us a few more opportunities.
“I like that and hopefully it stays like that. It looks all good. I’m very happy so far and hopefully it stays like this.”
Liverpool FC will be aiming to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season as they look to try and establish themselves as contenders.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the table and without a trophy last term and they are still on the lookout for their first piece of silverware since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
