Danny Murphy believes that lots of Manchester United fans are jealous of Liverpool FC and the way the Reds are performing under Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp has been earning plenty of praise for the impact he has had since taking over at Anfield back in October 2015, although he is yet to lead the Reds to any silverware.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season under Klopp and reached the Champions League final, where they ended up losing to Real Madrid.

Manchester United, meanwhile, ended last season without a trophy as they finished in second place in Jose Mourinho’s second campaign in charge of the Red Devils.

The Red Devils slumped to a disappointing 3-2 loss to Brighton at the weekend to dent their title hopes and leave them three points behind Liverpool FC after just two games.

And former Liverpool FC man Murphy feels that plenty of Red Devils fans will be jealous of the way Liverpool FC have been progressing in recent seasons.

Speaking in an interview with bwin, Murphy said: “I think a lot of Manchester United fans will look at the way Klopp has Liverpool playing with such attacking intent and they will be envious.

“Liverpool are always on the front foot, with fast movement and excellent speed of passing.

“More crucially, Liverpool are never in fear of the opposition and they can’t be accused of giving their opponent too much respect.

“I think Manchester United fans will look at that and wish it was what they were watching at Old Trafford.”

Manchester United will aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League next week when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the top flight on Monday night.
