The Reds were one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League during the window as Jurgen Klopp moved quickly to start adding to his squad ahead of the new campaign.
Liverpool FC brought in Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita and Alisson Becker as they moved quickly to strengthen their squad.
The Merseyside outfit will be aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season as they aim to try and win their first trophy under Klopp.
At the very least, they will be looking to improve on their fourth placed finish in the top flight under Klopp last term.
And former Liverpool FC midfielder Murphy feels that the Reds deserve praise for the way they conducted their transfer business this summer.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Sport, Murphy said: “Getting their signings done so early was beneficial because it gives Klopp time to show what he wants from them, and get them up to the fitness levels he requires for the way he wants to play.”
Liverpool FC reached the Champions League final last season but ended up losing 3-1 to Real Madrid back in May.
The Merseyside outfit will kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
